Three idiots is an insightful comedy that talks about the most important of human pursuits: self-actualization. Two friends (Madhavan and Sharman Joshi) embark on a quest for their lost buddy. Their journey is no less than a roller-coaster ride as they encounter a long forgotten bet and even crash into a wedding and funeral. And then the real journey begins. Through memory lanes that unfold the story of their lost friend – the irrepressible Rancho (Aamir Khan), who with his unconventional thinking, changed their lives. Rancho, known as an idiot by the conformist world, was no different than a rebel who stood against an oppressive system and mentor (Boman Irani). And then one day, suddenly, Rancho vanishes. Where is the original idiot now? Three Idiots is directed by Raj Kumar Hirani who has already proved his directorial prowess with movies like Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai.
